Wednesday, August 23, 2000 THE OAKVILLE BEAVER D5 DANCE INSTRUCTION New programs offered in new location at Classic Dance School By Kym Funnell ADVERTORIAL learly thinking o f the m indset o f their clients and students, the new Classics Dance Studio located on 214 Randall Street has all the am enities of a first class dance studio, in a pleasant, bright, relax ing environment. The natural light pouring in through the windows and skylights reflecting off the abundance of mir rors and neutral colours throughout the entire studio offers a bright and airy atmosphere, while the blinds and segregated classes offer a sense of privacy and lack of intimidation. When Christine and Tibor Markus moved their studio to a bigger facili ty a few months ago, a key factor in their design of the studio was securi ty. They had a video surveillance security system installed so they always know who is coming and going, they felt this was important with the multitude of people of vary ing ages (especially the many younger students) coming in for classes. With summer in full swing, stu dents will be happy to know the new studios, dressing rooms, and waiting room is fully air-conditioned and climatized, offering a comfortable working environment regardless of weather outside. The waiting room is convenient and comfortable for par ents who like to wait during their child's classes. Classics School of Dancing is committed to offering their students the highest quality of dance instruc tion. Directors Christine and Tibor, as well as their staff, are all highly qualified with professional back grounds of recognition, including their piano accompanists. Classics Dance Studio is equipped with the highest calibre of equipment, with a hi-tech professional sprung wood floor system with a non-slip Rosco surface to protect joints and prevent injuries for their young dancers. The combination of professional back grounds has enabled the school to offer a variety of classes this year, including Jazz, Tap, Pointe, Musical Theatre/Voice, in addition to Pilates Works®. These, incorporated with strong ballet technique, enhances the students' understanding of the many benefits found within the arts world Christine and Tibor incorporate the Vaganova, Cecchetti and R.A.D. methods that synergize into their own unique syllabus of training for their students. Christine and Tibor are looking forward to their year end performance in 2001 of "Cinderella" at the Oakville Centre for thePerforming Arts. Combined within Classics School of Dance is an environment which enhances a child's self confidence, body awareness, flexibility, musical ly , poise, and what they regard as most important, a child's happiness within themselves. "We offer them the opportunity to develop to their full potential within the arts domain," explains Christine. "While keeping in mind the most important thing, the love for the art of dance."
