Founded three years ago and gone to market a little more than 18 months ago, Team Tables designs and manufactures custom sports-themed furniture. It' s a partnership between Pacheco, Mike Brajak and his wife, Nicole Brajak, while a fourth person, Paul Safranyos, assembles and prepares the furniture for shipment. Pacheco said hlming Dragons' Den was an "awesome" experience. "1 love that show. I've always watched every episode. Just to be on it was a little surreal," he said. He said he is hoping the appearance will bring more awareness to Team Tables' products, which are patent-pending and great for children' s rooms, man-caves, cottages and offices. "As w e keep going along, our direction has kind of changed since our first meeting three years ago. Now, we're looking to get more into retail stores," said Pacheco, noting its products are available in 45-50 shops in Canada, 15 in the U.S. The business was operating out of Brajaks' Burlington residence until recently relocating to a larger facility in Hamilton. The March 9 pitch, filmed in Kitchener, Ont., went well, according to the group' s media release. "Even though there isn't a real business opportunity for the Dragons, since we are a notfor-profit, STEM Camp could use their help in expanding to even more locations across Canada. When kids get excited about STEM, everybody wins," stated Kevin Cougler, CEO and founder. This summer, in Halton, STEM Camp will take place at East Plains United Church in Burlington, Grace Anglican Church in Milton and Sheridan College in Oakville. It is its third year in Burlington and Oakville and first in Milton. .w s s s s - fa ta l [ HOMEComfort!
