The bridge is closed to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians in both directions between Forsythe and Navy streets until December 2017. A detour route around the bridge is provided via Kerr Street, Rebecca Street and Navy Street. Navy Street between Rebecca/Randall Street was converted to two-way on Jan. 5. All businesses along Lakeshore Road on either side of the bridge, as well as the Oakville Public Library, Central Branch, the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts and Centennial Pool remain open and accessible during construction.
