He said the secret to his longevity is eat lots of fish, very little meat and keeping active. A Stouffville family is alleging York police went too far this week when they set a German shepherd police dog on a 14-year-old boy who was running through a field having a "mental breakdown". Both the boy's mother and aunt have reported suffering anguish as a result of the incident, wondering why anyone would release a dog on a teenager. "We just wanted (his mental state) tested," his aunt said. "Nothing good came out of calling the police." Stouffville resident Michael Alvan Antoine, 100, celebrated his birthday milestone on April 17 with a grand party that hosted 210 people, all friends and family. At the party his daughter Anne Marie Antoine-Radix said he couldn't stop dancing. "Ladies, young and old, they all dance with him, he's got a great passion for it," she said. Antoine was born in Trinidad & Tobago in 1916; he arrived in Canada in March 1974 and has been a Stouffville resident since 2007.
