Friday October 13, 2000 THE OAKVILLE BEAVER 13 Computer equipment stolen during store hours Halton Regional Police in Oakville are investigating the theft of 5 CD re-writable recorders. The theft occurred on Sept. 17th between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Business Depot located at the Oakville Town Two plaza on the North Service Road. While clerks were otherwise involved, sus pects entered the computer section and forced open the locked glass cabinet and stole the items. There was a similar occur rence at the Brampton Home Depot around the same time. These CD recorders are val ued at approxi mately $300 each and the loot included two Sony brand C R X 140EC S, Hewlett Packard HPCDR-W 8250, and two Retail Plus CDRW RICOH models. If you know who is stealing or trying to unload stolen computer equipment, call Crime Stoppers of Halton.
