The local G.T.R. branch has kept two yard engines for the past few days busy removing from the old Victoria Junction to the yard, the old ironwork or bridgework from along the track which had lain there for some years. The officials have decided to erect a new bridge at Burnt River, for which the local branch are shipping the old frame to-day. The bridge-framing has laid beside the Victoria Junction track for many years having, it is said, been a bridge near Niagara years ago and the com- pany being compelled to build a new structure removed it to Lindsay, lwhere it has laid ever since. It will be remembered Mr. Tiffin, the Grand Trunk northern division lsuperintendent, visited Burnt River late last summer and decided to erect a new structure there for which pur- pose Vthe bridging is being removed.
