Hand, editor of the Pension Falls Gazette. vistted the Lindsay Central on Thursday of last week, and in this week’s issue gives his impressions as fol- lows: “The show was as good and the attendance as large as usual, and the weather as fine as could be desired, but a great deal of dissatisfaction was caused by the exclusion of the public from the poultry department during whole or the afternoon of the second day of the show, when the ground was crowded with visitors who came from considerable distance by rail or boat, and who had to leave again at 5 o’clock. To applicants for admission the man at the door said, “The judges ain’t through yet,” and when asked why the judging was left until that time. hereplied that it couldn't be done earlier, as some of the poultry entered for competition was not brought in until near noon. It is to be hoped that such a thing will not be allow- ed to occur again, as there isagreater crowd upon the show ground on the second day than at any other time during the show, and to many of those who go the gsultry department is the chief attraction. e may also remark that the “hen house” now in use is far too small, as the exhibits cannot be displayed to the best advantage, and the spaces between the rows of ccops arenearlyalways inconveniently crowded. Some handsome lines or memorial cat‘ds now in stock at reasonable prices tor one and two dozen lots.
