The action starts at 9 a.m. at Millbank Park, Glenashton Park and Trafalgar Park. This year's Tournament is bigger and better than ever, with 24 teams competing for the M ayor's Cup, com pared to 18 teams in 1999. Tournament co-chairs, Peter Gilgan, president and CEO o f Mattamy Homes, and Walt Jurgen, associate broker for Royal LePage have also raised the fundraising goal for 2000, to top the $104,000 grossed in 1999. Proceeds from the M ayor's Invitational Softball Tournament will go directly to United Way o f Oakville and its 39 agency organizations. Last year, United Way agencies helped over 40,000 people in Oakville.
