To date, in the O ntario `A' division, the Crusaders first XV is unbeaten. FIRST XV The C rusaders first XV beat the Bytown Blues (from O ttaw a) 37-14. Initially, the C rusaders were surprised by the strength o f the B lues but with better team work and resolve, soon m ade inroads with con siderable forw ard m ovem ent that resulted in tries. A gain, the backs com plem ented the for w ards by m aking m any sc in tilla tin g runs which added to the woes o f the Blues. SECO N D XV The C rusaders second XV beat the visiting Ajax W anderers 56-10. The score did n o t do ju s tic e to the W anderers tenacity and grit as they battled until the last whistle. In the first half, the honours were even. In the second half, the Crusaders fitness and team w ork surfaced, resulting in additional scores. This was capped in the final 15 minutes when the Crusaders scored three tries. This team continues to improve and is now playing to its potential. TH IRD XV The C rusaders third XV overcame a 10-0 first half deficit to defeat the Ajax Wanderers 22-10. In the second half, the Crusaders con solidated its play and scored 22 points (four tries with one conversion) without reply. W O M EN'S TEAM The women Crusaders were on the road, losing 37-0 to defending cham pion Yeoman. To date, the recently prom oted women C rusaders have won one and lost one in a very com petitive league. A t Toronto District Heating C orporation, A lex built and led a team of employees that reversed the decline in the customer base, substantially improved the pro fita b ility of the company, and added a brand new business - district cooling. One of Alex's more notable projects was the development of the commercially viable Deep Lake W ater Cooling system.
