The award-winning Celtic harpist joins violinist/violist Sandra Swannell and fingerstyle guitarist Terry Young at St. Jo h n 's Unit ed Church, 262 Randall St., at 7:30 p.m. Harp & Holly's m usic is a blend of Celtic, New Age and baroque sounds. Wallace is a winner of two international competitions, the Lyon and Healy Interna tional Pop and Jazz Lever Harp Com peti tion, held in Tucson, Ariz., and the Concours d'Improvisation de Rencontres Internation ales de Harpe Celtique, in Dinan, France. "I'm thrilled and excited to have been in vited to be part of this Christmas Harp & Holly tour," said Wallace, who is also the principal concert harpist with the Guelph, Oakville, and Kingston symphonies. Swannell and Young are both Canadian Folk Music Award winners and former m em bers of the group, Tanglefoot. The pair spends the regular season touring the U.S. and U.K. with its folk-jazz group, My Sweet Patootie. Opening next Wednesday (Dec. 21), the group's fourth annual pantomime is written by Chantal Forde and Tim Cadeny -- Forde di rects the production as well. "As we head into the holiday season, BurlOak Theatre Group is excited to present our fourth annual Holiday Pantomime. Our last three years proved to be very successful with more than 3,000 people in attendance," said Beth Poad and Hilary Speed, in a media release. The BOTG pair co-produce the holiday pan tomime. Burl-Oak Theatre Group is a not-for-profit or ganization currently in its 40th season.
