From left, Abbey Fox, 16, Celeste Alaimo, 15, and, Geena Furtner, 15, load donated sports equipm ent into a trailer as Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School, in partnership with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) gathered sports equipm ent to donate to First Nations com m unities in Northern Ontario including Attawapiskat, a town near James Bay, Ontario. The donation idea came to fruition in Mrs. Mclnnes-McNab's Grade 10 History class, while students were researching about the recent declaration of emergency within Attawapiskat, and concerns am ongst teen mental health. The school collected items, and challenged neighbouring com m uni ties, including St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Ignatius of Loyola Secondary Schools to join the challenge.
