Donations can be made at any Oakville Fire Station through Dec. 18 as well. People are asked to keep in mind that every year, there's a specific need for gifts for youths ages 11 to 15 years. Kick-off at Santa Claus Parade Nov. 19 The firefighters will be accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys and gift cards at the Oakville Santa Claus Parade on Nov. 19 or at any Oakville Fire Station through Sunday, Dec. 18. "The generosity of the community through the Oakville Firefighters Toy Drive helps bring joy to many children and youth each holiday season," said Michelle Pommells, Home Suite Hope President and CEO in a press release. "For our organization and the children and families we serve, these gifts from our community help bring the holiday magic home." OPFFA Chuck Lewis said each year local firefighters look forward to this holiday tradition. "We are again asking residents and local businesses to help families and children in need," he said. "Each year we have a high need for gifts for youths ages 11 to 15, and we invite the community and local businesses to consider gifts to brighten the holiday season for these young people."
