www.insideHALTON.com | OAKVILLE BEAVER | Friday, October 21, 2016 | 18 Bronte Looking out across the clouds I hear the thunder roar From nature's waves so powerful Departing birds which soar In the city but aloof It seems more heavenly To walk the paths admiring The lake shore endlessly Strangers yet so welcoming We pass perchance to speak United in a pride we share A common joy we seek To cast aside the cares of life We clear our minds of fear Hear the whistling of the wind Through sailboats docked so near The harbour holds its secrets rare For those who see beyond In tranquil meditation learn How man and nature bond. -- Sue Weaver, Bronte Every week we showcase much discussed topics around town, as witnessed through the eyes of our devoted readers.
