Instead of running into the community, roughly 1,300 students walked laps of the track and then lined the school bleachers for a student and teacher race in honour of Terry. The winners names are engraved onto a professional trophy and placed in the school showcase until next year. This is a tradition for future Garth Webb Chargers. After the races, the school property was lled with concession stands, food trucks, face painting, and more. A raf e offered more than $500 in donated prizes, with all proceeds going straight to the Terry Fox Foundation. The entire event was planned by a class of Grade 12 students in a new course offered at the school called Sports and Entertainment Marketing. The raf e team at the event.
