H A P P Y T H A N K S G I V I N G Crime Stoppers Shred event Oct. 15 Residents interested in keeping their information safe and secure are invited to attend a Community Shred Event at the Halton Region Centre in Oakville Saturday, Oct. 15. The event is hosted by Crime Stoppers of Halton and seeks to stop people from becoming victims of identify theft and other fraud by allowing them to safely dispose of unwanted documents containing sensitive information. The Oct. 15 Community Shred Event will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The cost of having a grocery bag full of documents destroyed is $5, $10 per bankers box and $15 per larger bag and/or box.
