I think it might be time to write an article about the rules of the road as they relate to cyclists and remind them pedestrians have the right-of-way and should not have to be frightened to walk on Oakville streets. As a senior, I live in fear of being run down by a cyclist one of these days. Perhaps we need to licence cyclists and teach them the rules of the road. I remember when Oakville had police cyclists downtown and perhaps we need to encourage the return of this type of policing in future, which might set a good example for others. C.
