On Friday, March 31, 2017, a repertoire for accordion, harp and bass will entertain music lovers with the Winter's Eve Trio, featuring Sharlene Wallace, Joseph Macerollo and George Koller. The music performed will be by Wallace, Alfredo Rolando Ortiz, Astor Piazzolla and classical and Celtic pieces. Closing out the season on Saturday, May 13, 2017 will be a show of three choirs. St. Jude's Choir, under the direction of Simon Walker, will be joined by former St. Jude's music directors John Laing and Tom Bell with their A showcase of three choirs closes out COTA season in May 2017 new ensembles, Voces Animae and the Aslan Boys Choir, respectively. Voces Animae's repertoire includes Requiem by Gabriel Faure and Laing's own suite, A Paean of Honour. The Aslan Boys Choir derives its name from the Turkish word for "lion," and the central character in the C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. The program gives its members a rounded musical education and chooses songs that engage the boys and help develop good singing habits. The Choir of St. Jude's Anglican Church, an auditioned group of 32 members, will also perform.
