Seven different players scored for the Blades, led by captain Jackson Bales, who had a goal and two assists. Bryce Misley, who had a hat trick in the season opener, scored a powerplay goal in the rst period. Jack Ricketts and Drew Worrad extended Oakville's lead to 3-0 with goal in the rst ve minutes of the second. After Toronto got one back midway through the second, the Blades put the game away with three goals in a span of 2:40. Bales got it started and Daniel Jelic and Ryan Foss scored 18 seconds apart. Peyton Reeves capped the scoring with a power-play goal in the third. Christian Rajic and Chris BrillMorgan each had two assists and Brendan McGlynn made 30 saves for the win. With the win, the Blades are tied with North York at 2-0 atop the South Division standings in the Ontario Junior Hockey League. Oakville plays in Lindsay tonight (Friday) and is in Toronto Sunday afternoon to play St. Michael's. The Blades' next home game is set for Friday, Sept. 23 against Mississauga at 7:30 p.m. at the Sixteen Mile Sports Complex. Milan Beader OUA's athlete of the week Oakville's Milan Beader was named the Ontario University Athletics athlete of the week after leading the country's top-ranked men's soccer team, the York Lions, to wins over McMaster and Waterloo. The rookie scored the winning goal as York rallied to defeat McMaster, the country's seventhranked team, 4-2. York quickly fell behind 2-0 but cut the lead in half before the end of the rst half and then tied it up in the opening minute of the second half. Two minutes later Beader scored to give York the lead and it took just another two minutes for the Lions to add an insurance goal. Beader scored again the next night in a 3-0 win over Waterloo, helping York improve to 5-0 on the season. With three goals in his rst ve games, the Abbey Park Secondary School grad is tied for seventh in the OUA. The Rangers used goals by Leo Colabrese and Matt McPherson and shutout goaltending by Nathan Jesseau to blank Ancaster 2-0 in the gold-medal game. It was the fth straight win for the Rangers in tournament play. Other members of the team, coached by Jim Chapman, include Owen Chapman, Noah Reid, Jack Henderson, Lucas Almeida, Zachary Diguilintonio, Gianluca Fortino, Ben Othen, Ethan Begin, Kai Chong, Blake Cooper, Aidan Ashall, Zachary Maynard, Nathan Lipinski and goalie Braeden Dyck.
