This initiative, between the largest programs of their respective sports in Canada, will see players under-4 to U18 be given the ability to play both sports through a two-sport pricing structure and specialized scheduling. This will allow parents a new option to see their children participate in multiple sports rather than having to choose one sport over the other. This program will begin with OSC's summer outdoor registration season next January and continue into MOHA's registration season beginning in April 2017. Jack Ricketts and Ryan Foss managed the only goals for the Blades (now 3-1), who trailed 2-1 after two periods following a scoreless first frame. Goalie Brandan McGlynn suffered the loss, stopping 26 shots. Friday, defenceman Michael Mannara scored and set up two more goals and Chris Elliot made 29 saves to win his OJHL debut. Jackson Doherty scored twice and Drew Worrad had a goal and an assist. Foss and Evan Brown put the Blades up 2-0 in the first and Jackson Bales added a power-play goal in the opening minute of the second. Worrad made it 4-0 before Lindsay got on the board on the power play. The Blades added four more goals in the third. Tyler Hildebrandt scored a shorthanded goal and just over a minute later Doherty got his first of two. Mannara and Doherty scored 19 seconds apart late in the period to round out the scoring. Oakville's Megan Nash was named the Southland Conference defensive player of the week after leading the University of Central Arkansas Sugar Bears women's volleyball team to a 2-1 record at the Holiday Inn Orlan- Megan Nash do East/UCF Challenge. Nash turned in a career-high 12 blocks, including four solo blocks, in a 3-1 win over UNC-Asheville. That tied for the sixth most blocks in a match in school history. "Meg took over a few sets this weekend with her blocking," said UCA head coach Jeni Jones Chatman. "She has a great volley- ball IQ and tremendous blocking instincts. She was difference-maker for sure in our win over UNC-Asheville." The junior middle blocker added nine kills and a service ace in the victory. Nash opened the tournament with eight kills and a block in a 3-0 win over Central Michigan and also added 11 kills and four blocks in a 3-1 loss to Central Florida. The Holy Trinity graduate was the Southland Conference student-athlete of the year and an all-conference first-team all-star in her sophomore season.
