The young goaltender has been playing hockey since she was three years old, and ringette for the last two years with the Whitby 'AA' team. Competing in Winnipeg was her first experience at the national level. Ian Ticknor, Alanna's dad, said the tournament "was a great experience, with ' close games, very competitive". competitive".
