Allin's started the scoring off with an awesome goal by Steve Hicks assisted by Mark Spiers up from Greg Howe. Newcastle then netted a goal in the first period to tie the game. In the second, Orono netted netted another goal. Matt Moffat scored, assisted by Devon Sutton up from Brent Vanstone. Orono's Doug Garlick slammed the next two goals in for Orono in the third period. The first goal was assisted by Evan Moore up from Dan Reilly. Newcastle managed to slip one by Orono's netminder in the third. Final score 4-2 for Orono.
