Dressed in period uniforms of the 1860's and firing the 1853 Enfield service rifles these volunteers help keep part of Canada's incredible history alive ~ with a blast. The Queen's Own Rifles of Canada (QPR of C) are the longest continuously serving Infantry Regiment in all of Canada. Their long and distinguished distinguished service dates well back to their official formation formation in April of 1860. A Get your filings in on time. The chance of an audit increases the longer you have paperwork outstanding. If you're an individual and have no self-employed income, filing on time is less important since the only thing they can check is your personal personal income tax return. Most of that tax return is created from slips you received from other people, so the chance of there being an error that the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency will catch is pretty small. The situation is much different different if you operate a company. In my experience, filing a day or week, or even a month late does not seem to matter much. Once you exceed six months late for GST, PST or payroll tax, your chance of audit approaches 100%. The time period for income tax is much longer - perhaps a year - but again, risk of audit increases steadily the longer your paperwork is overdue. I guess the theory is that if you are so disorganized that it takes you six months to file, there is probably something there that should be checked.
