1 4-Oraétt Weekly Tines, Wednesday, March 16,198* Orono Tykes taste success & defeat The Orono Tykes had another big day on Saturday, with 2 games. The first was against London Life iof Bowmanville. Adam VanDam had another of his All-Star games with 6 goals in the 6 - 2 win. Adam controlled the game from start to finish playing a very smart game. He got the first goal on his first shift and another on his second shift and so on until he had all 6. Andrew Reid played a big part in Adam's game with 3 assists along with Murphy Murphy Irvine who had 2. Mike Hutton Jr. and Kyle Beacock each had 1 assist. Jeremy Pare played a solid game in net making Bowmanville work very hard just to get their 2 goals. In the second game Orono traveled through freezing rain and some bad drivers (believed to be '♦from Oshawa) to a game in Brooklin .against a select team of 7 year olds. Orono had 4 second year players and 6 first year. Brooklin ' had 2nd and 3rd year players which - put Orono at a disadvantage. Each : of the Orono lads played a strong (game and kept Brooklin to 7 goals while scoring 2 of their own. Mike Hutton Jr. played net and stopped a great number of shots, some chest high. Adam VanDam played his best game defensively helping Mike keep the score down. Adam got . Orono's second goal not long after i Danny MacDonald had Orono's first. Steven Foster also played a good game along with Kyle Beacock, Jeremy Pare, David Harman, Harman, Steven Gates, Andrew Reid and Kevin Copping. I also would like to thank David Pare for filling in as coach in the Bowmanville game allowing coach Hutton a short break. Be a cheer leader ançl see a game from a different different angle, good game Dave!
