The Management committee has agreed, that although there was merit to the proposal, it was not in the interest of the Town to proceed proceed at this time. The Committee suggested that before any further commitment commitment is made by the Town in respect of the acquisition and operation of additional facilities in the Orono area, especially new public buildings, that the Town should determine its existing and future requirements in the area and should develop a • program and budget for property property acquisitions and the sale of surplus properties through the Town as a whole. The committee noted, that the moving proposal would cost in excess of $15,000 which had not been budgeted for in 1981 and that no estimate of ongoing operating costs had been made available. Veterans Jason Major, Shawn Hardy (2 goals), Kevin Roberts (2 goals) and Cameron Esler (5 goals) led the attack while newcomers Scott McAllister, Jim Partner (1 goal), Roy Mitchell, Scott Williams and David Burnett played strongly both ways. Mark Plummer and Derek Dennis were defensive stalwarts and Rookies Jarret Prescott, Darren Currie, and Andrew Preston showed spirit and heart in their first game.
