The kindergarten of Mrs. Staples at Orono- Lockhart shared the apples they had picked the previous day, with the grade six students at Orono. The. Kendal-Kirby school also observed special events during the week of the Int,ernaional Year of the Child. A special assembly was held on Thursday afternoon afternoon when Mr. Gleibs, principal, principal, outlined the significance of the Year of the Child and emphasized the principle of sharing.
