The pianist was Mrs. Helen Wood and the church .organist Mrs. Fern Foster. At the close of the service the children received their pins and awards. There will be Sunday School for two more Sundays. ' In the afternoon the Sunday School Picnic \ps held on the Kendal School grounds. This completed a perfect day for the boys and girls. • It was also Shiloh United Church Women's Anniversary Anniversary but our minister and his wife and their visitors were able to enjoy the Picnic supper With the Kendal folk. Their visitors were Mrs. Tizzard's father, Mr. Thomas Watkins and Miss Dorothy Watkins, sister of Mrs. Tiz- zard, both from Newfoundland. Newfoundland. , Mr. and Mrs. John Fonk and family of Woodstock were weekend visitors with Mrs. E. Foster. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Peacock who were, married on Saturday, ; June 2nd at the home of Andrew's grandparents Mr. and Mrs, Vernon Peacock. Andrew is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Jackson Peacock Peacock of Kapuskasing and is studying to become a veterinary veterinary doctor. Trim the root ends, then wrap them in plastic and store in the refrigerator. Enjoy the perkly flavour of green onions all suinmer. Ontario radishes are available available now'in some parts of the province, with life peak period from July 1 to August 31. Their zjppy flavour and crunchy texture make them great salad favourites. Look for firm radishes with small, whole heads. To store, remove remove leaves, leave small portion of stem and root end on and refrigerate in a tightly closed plastic bag. Fresh green leaves of Ontario spinach are available in early June and throughout the sumiyer. Choose large, fresh, dark green, slightly curly leaves of spinach.
