Their first match was against the rival Baltimore team. After the local team putting in two , listless periods which saw Baltimore go ahead by a score of two to zip, they finally got on track. At 12:31 of the third period Paul Morton let go a good shot from just inside the blue line to beat the opposition goalie. It was a nice three way play with assists going to Kevin Taÿlor and Mark Henry. With six minutes remaining in the period another fine shot by Paul Morton to tie the score at 2-2. A fine third perjod. On Monday, Feb, j9th Orono travelled to Baltimore for a rematch. The first period was Orono's all the way but the boys could not capitalize on any of their many opportunities. In the middle of the first Baltimore scored on a easy clearing shot, which did not seem to bother Orono to a great deal. Baltimore then took a two goal lead near the end of the second period with Orono scoring thirty seconds later, ;#n unassisted goal by Paul Morton. A few questionable penalties seem to nulify any further attack Orono could muster in the latter part of the third period, with the result of a two to one score for Baltimore. A great game was played by everyone especially Fred'Vibert and Doug Doxtater on defence. Keep working lads, its not over yet.
