O.P.P. News O.P.P. REPORT ■ During thé past week the Ontario Provincial Police at Newcastle investigated 20 motor vehicle collisions and over 100 occurrences pf, a general nature. Five of the 20 accidents resulted in injury to 8 persons and when causes of the collisions were.investigated 8 persons, were 1 charged witH offefices contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The general occurrences investigated included offences offences such as wilful damage, assault, fraud and theft and have resulted in 5 persons being charged with offences against the Criminal Code of Canada. , . DRIVING TIP: DRIVER DROWSINESS It is common in the winter for a motorist to become drowsy at the wheel, especially especially with the heater on and the windows closed. To guard against this type of situation, especially on a long trip, stop for a coffee break and possibly a few minutes rest.
