He did not receive any direct answer but it did open up the question for some limited discussion. He pointed out that if the business section burned down they couldn't rebuild. "We have to have sewers", he said. Mayor Rickard referred to planning and stated that only this week he had seen the results of the hamlet study. He said that Orono was being referred to as a hamlet but he felt.it was much more than that. Mr. Best stated' that a tentative date of June 15th had been set for a meeting in Orono when the hamlet study will be discussed. He said the meeting would also include those from Kirby and Les- kard. A joint meeting is also expected to be held for Newtonville and Kendal, Mayor Rickard outlined the water operation stating that in 1980 all residents will be paying the same amount for water wherever the live. He said Orono rates will increase at the present time and then drop dojvn when the overall rate is equalized.
