Peter Roach, director of education for the Peterbor^ ough, Victoria, Northumer- land and Newcastle Separate school board, said AECB Officials made the formal offer last week. The offer came after board members granted AECB engineers engineers permission to enter the school for the purpose of assessing what remedial measures measures would be required to open the building, said the director.' Mr. Roach said that if an agreement was reached and ratified by the board, AECB would only pay the cost of the necessary remedial work! RECORD HIGH ELECTRICAL USE Electrical consumption in the Province rose to a record 8.503.443.000 kilowatt-hours in January. Ontario Hydro reports this is seven per cent greater than the corresponding total for last January and.5.8 per cent above the previous record high in December 1975. Hydro notes the electrical system met an all-time record record primary peak demand of 14.738.000 kilowatts at 5:55 p.m. Thursday, January 22.
