Born on May 31, 1923 at Manitoulin Island, Ontario. Son of the late Annie and Arthur Giles. Robert joined the Royal Canadian Navy at the age of 18 and served honourably on the H.M.C.S. Prince Robert. He was employed at Hillsdale Manor as an R.N.A. until retirement. Robert is survived by his loving partner Roberta, his daughter Sharon and his sister May. He will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren grandchildren and great grand-children.
