Despite losing the opening game against I- the first place Ajax United Lightning, Dar- y lington bounced back with an impressive Ï 6-0 win against Peterborough. Madison t Smith opened the scoring early in the r first half with help from Victoria Brown, r Jessica Friend made a great passing play '* to Rebecka Hillebrand who buried the v. second goal for the Force. Meaghan Chad- Î wick netted the third goal while Lindsay jj Brazil picked up the fourth. Hillebrand and j* Chadwick rounded out the scoring to give. ;• Darlington their first win of the season. '! In their third game, the Force met their i arch rivals, the Whitby Hurricanes, and played them to a 0 : 0 tie. The game was " fast paced with chances on both sides but outstanding defensive play by Madison Madison Andrews, Trisha Thompson, Siobhan Scott and keeper Allyson Forrest shut down the strong Whitby offence to keep the game scoreless. • Darlington then took on the second place Ajax United Bolts, keeping the game scoreless until the second half. A few bad bounces and a penalty shot against the Force resulted in a 3-0 loss. In their last game against the Oshawa Kicks, Darlington Darlington dominated the play but was unable to score in a 0-0 tie.
