Mary was born in Veijle, Denmark and emigrated emigrated to Canada in 1929 with her husband and two children. She lived a difficult but very rewarding life. She was blessed with many passions in her life for she knew the best way lo live was to love many things. She appreciated beauty and saw it in the details of everyday living, in the ordinary ordinary insignificant things that our feeble eyes barely glimpse. Her life reflected courage, confidence, confidence, an attitude of gratitude and a- strength of character that allowed her to achieve the goals she had envisioned for herself and her family. Her flair for gardening and cooking was legendary legendary and she spent many summers as Head Cook at Lumina Resort in Muskoka, She was the matriarch matriarch of the Olesen family and showed us by her example that life was given to us with the best of intentions, don't waste it, make it beau- tifull She will always live through us in what we say, think and do for out of sorrow comes inspiration to grander and nobler living. I know she would ask you to join in her fight against Alzheimer's Disease which robbed her of many ol the latter years of her life as her world kept shrinking. We watched helplessly as her spirit drifted away, cocooned within an invisible barrier ol lost memories. We have missed you Mom, but you have left a big part of yourself in our hearts. You never mentioned Jesus ... you reflected Him, you seldom attended church ... you walked in His footsteps, you rarely read the Bible ... you simply lived it. May God bless every remembrance ol you.
