Reception for Skaters The reception to honour the Colville young folks had a great crowd of friends and well-wishers, on Sunday afternoon in Orono Town Hall. Perhaps these young folks will be appearing in the upcoming "Ontario Games" in Peterborough March 5-8 and 12-15. Over 2700 athletes arc registered already. Kaillin and Adam Colville were honored at the Orono Town Hall on March 1st. They arc pictured above with some mementos of their skating career. Adam, who placed fifth overall in the Junior Men's Division, will be representing Canada April 6-12 at an international competition in Slovenia. He and his sister also skate in the pairs competition, earning a ninth place finish in the Novice Pairs Division of the Canadian Championships. Bowmanville Toastmasters demonstrated their community service recently when four members judged the Legion Public Speaking Contests. Toastmasters Irene Konzclmann, Mike Sullivan, Connie Nelson and Carol Wonnacott devoted the day to encouraging young people to exceed their expectations by participating in public speaking speaking contests. The Toastmasters, along with the rest of the audience, were rewarded with numerous numerous outstanding presentations. presentations.
