Louie Martonc opened the scoring scoring for the home side when lie stuffed in a rebound after some hard work by Brock Murphy and Luke Pithcr. Scott Junkin made some key saves when called upon to keep Ajax at bay. Late in the second period, Ajax tied it up on a beautiful backhand shot. Dylan Burns closed the door on the hard charging Knights the rest of the way. With two minutes to play, Daniel McCarthy scored the winner, stuffing in a rebound off a long Luke Pithcr shot with Brandon Castellan drawing drawing the other assist. Luke Pithcr sealed the win with a long empty goal that just had enough steam to get over the line. Wade Pickcll drew the assist. Toros win 3-1. The Toros continued their rivalry with Ajax on Saturday, February 28, at the lee Palace. Dylan Burns stood tall and made a huge pad save off an Ajax player who was in alone on a breakaway. Harrison Fuels lost the series 3-1. It was a best-of-five series. Peterborough won the opening game 4-3. Derek McGrath got one goal and Kris Poison scored twice. The game was played in Warsaw. Shots were even 32-32. Peterborough defeated Harrison Fuels 5-4 to go up 2-0 in the series. Harrison Fuels outshot Peterborough 26-24. Craig Baraball and Trevor Baker got single goals and Kris Poison scored twice. Harrison Fuels got back into the series with a third game 6-5 overtime victory. victory.
