Oeiohet 31. l'iag Variety of Results For National Sports National Sports had one of everything last week: a win, a loss, and a tic. In our loss. National Sports almost pulled it out. They were down 4-0, but fought back and only lost 4- 3. Garrett Dodds started the comeback with our first goal with an assist to Dan Cowx. Later, Darren Kelly got us closer on a goal that resulted from a nice passing play from Mark Bonin and Adam Swaga. Darren also got the next goal on another pass from Mark Bonin, who played a strong game, except the ref blew the call and disallowed disallowed the goal. The third official goal was scored by Joey Castellano on a pass by Garrett Dodds. In our tie, Mike Kari scored for National Sports in the 1-1 game against Whitby. In our victory this week. National Sports played a strong game against Ajax and won 5-3. Joey Casctcllano opened the scoring on a goal assisted by Mike Kari and John Stafford. Joey also got our fourth goal on a passing play from Jesse Millson and Derek McGrath, who both got assists. The line of Mark Lemieux, Chris McDaniels and Stuart King played a strong game, and each of the players got a goal. Each goal was a three-way passing play. Adam Swaga also got one assist in the game. The goaltcnding duties arc being shared each game by Chris Wood and Adam Hauke. Lange's Photo Face Uxbridge The Lange's Photo Toros travelled to Uxbridge for their first game of four this past week. Josh Kcwcll put the Toros on the board when he one-timed the pass from Ryan Garniss. Andy Chamberlain assisted. Uxbridge came back with two to take the lead. Andrew Oliver worked his way along the boards and tucked it past the Uxbridge nctminder to tie the game. The Toros fought hard but Uxbridge took advantage of a breakaway and added another to defeat the Toros 4-2. The Toros then travelled to Peterborough for a rough match against the Nationals. The Toros were robbed numerous times by the Nationals' nctminder, resulting resulting in a 3-0 loss. Home ice against Prince Edward County turned the losing streak around for the Toros. Prince Edward County were ahead by one until the Toros' Michael Oliver worked his way down the left side with a pass out front to Jason Hicks to tie the game. In the second, Andrew Oliver, unassisted, gave the Toros the lead 2-1 when he came from behind the net and fired one in. Great defensive play by the Toros, and awesome awesome saves between the pipes by Ryan Hibbard gave the Toros the victory they'd been working for. It was an exciting game in Oshawa the next night with Andy Chamberlain keeping the Toros ahead with his hat- trick. He started the scoring on a power play. Assists to Paul Reid and Ryan Garniss. Ryan Garniss later tapped his loose puck across the red line behind the Oshawa neimin- dcr, putting the Toros ahead by two. Zachary Vine assisted. assisted.
