We sang "Silent Night" with Annie Wright at the keyboard. Ruth gave a very meaningful Christmas Devotion. Margaret read a poem "Old Friends" the people we reminisce about at this time of year. We sang "Joy to the World". The Devotion closed with prayer. A fcomedy skit was acted out by fine ladies "Get me to the church on time". This caused much laughter and enjoyment for everyone. President Joyce Virtue had a few matters of business for discussion, this was all taken care of with a few motions of agreement. Everyone left singing "We wish you a Merry Christmas". Mrs. L. Slainton accompanied Linda Crydcrman to the Rcbckah Hall to the 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence English Bowmanvillc. Family Christmas was held at Mrs. L. Stainton's for dinner Sunday evening. The Solina Women's Institute received the first installment of funding for a project to make the Solina Solina Community Hall accessible for seniors and for persons with disabilities. Durham East MPP Gord Mills made the presentation to community members on Friday morning, Dec. 16 at the community hall. With him are also members of the Women's Institute and the community who spearheaded the campaign campaign to apply for funds to help from the provincial government.
