Asks Gov't for Support The need for modem, permanent facilities for students attending St. Stephen's Secondary School was discussed at Queen's Park on Tuesday, Tuesday, April 5, by the Durham East MPP. Questioning the Hon. David Cooke, the Minister of Education and Training, was Gord Mills. "Over the past couple of months I've received hundreds of letters from my constituents requesting support and help in getting a new building for St Stephen's Secondary Secondary School in Bowmanville," Mills told the Legislature. "The community support for this school is overwhelming. The school began with 50 students. It now has 450 students and by September this year will have 500 students. Need Successor For Ken Hooper Clarington Council must wait for a decision by the Durham Region before filling the vacancy created on council by the death of Regional Councillor Ken Hooper last month.
