The Thursday night Clarke High School was the favourite dance proved to be very popular as haunt of over two hundred teenagers Friday, October 29th was a Profes- as a highly successful Hallowe'en sional Activity Day. Visitors Enjoy "Free Fall" Event at Bowmanville Museum The dance, featured door prizes, raffle prizes and an Air Band competition. competition. Ace Restaurant supplied $150 cash for the three winners of the Air Band competition. The winners were Aaron Staples and Jamey Osmond, Phill Feltham, and Mike Johnston and Tyson Bryden. Around the Town CHRISTMAS AT THE MUSEUM - The Bowmanville Museum will hold its Christmas Craft and Bake Sale Saturday, November 20, immediately immediately following the Santa Claus Parade. The Neo-Georgian brick and stone building was designed by Sproat and Rolfe, Architects, who were also responsible for such significant structures as Hart House and Bishop Strachan School in Toronto. Constructed in 1923, it was a gift to the community by Mr. Chester Massey, a native of Newcastle, and the grandson of Daniel Massey of the Massey Harris Company. This structure is designated for its historical and architectural significance.
