The day will include include a 5 km walk through the beautiful beautiful conservation area, refreshments, contests and lots of prizes. The prizes were all donated by generous companies companies in the Durham Region area. The Society is a registered charity and runs solely on the generosity of the public. The kennels and runs are expensive and therefore the Society is looking to the public for their donations donations to "Project Duke." "Project Duke" was created for the public to donate $100.00 for a small, $150.00 for a medium, $200.00 for a large size kennel and $500.00 for a run. In return you will have a plaque with your name on it placed on your kennel kennel and receive quarterly reports on the animals that have passed through your kennel on their way to new homes.
