Richards The citizens of Canada are now questioning what the future holds for them, their children, and their grandchildren, those attending the annual Liberal barbeque held at the Ransberry Farm were told on Wednesday night. "That's wrong and that has got to stop," MP Herb Gray told about 100 barbeque attendees at the farm north of Orono. "The only way to restore Canada, as we know it, is to elect and form a Liberal majority government," Mr. Gray stated. He called on each individual attending attending the barbeque to "work together together to elect Alex (Shepherd) to help repair the fabric of the country and restore the Canadian Dream." The Canadian Dream is held with respect among Canadians, but has been placed in disrepair under the guidance of the Conservative Party, he stated. The Canadian Dream includes jobs and an economically responsible responsible government which, he added, the Liberals would provide. Looking at Prime Minister Kim Campbell, and the track record of her predecessor, Brian Mulroney, Mr. Gray predicted Canadians should not expect much from her. "Her first decision as Prime Minister Minister was to buy Brian Mulroney's furniture. "That is symbolic. She bought a $12,000 mirror. She must have seen that it was a magic mirror. When she looked into it, she saw Brian's face, not her own," he said. Another symbolic act, in Mr. Gray's view, was Ms Campbell's favorite favorite dance -- The Twist. "It is so appropriate, as everything everything the Tories do has a twist to it," said Mr. Gray. Every tiling from the Free Trade Agreement to economic strategics have had the "Tory Twist" added to it, Mr. Gray said. "They have a fixation -- debt and dcfici.t." However, the Liberals would act responsibly and get Canada back on track, Mr. Gray vowed. Mr. Gray stated that by supporting supporting the Liberal Party in the fall election, election, Canadians will be voting for responsible government and the restoration restoration of the Canadian Dream.
