Filmed on location in Chicago and North Carolina, "The Fugitive" tells the story of Dr. Richard Kimble, Kimble, a prominent surgeon who is wrongly convicted of his wife's murder. When an accident enables him to escape en route to prison, Dr. Kimble begins a desperate search to find his wife's true killer and to evade the relentless team of U.S. Marshals, headed by Sam Gerard, who are determined to bring him in. Surviving by his wits, Dr. Kimble Kimble becomes a desperate man with no identity, constantly in flight. His only hope for the future lies in righting righting the grievous wrong of his past - - and time is running out.
