Brent appears to have caught on as a regular with the Los Angeles Kings. His solid play earned him a regular defence berth. The Newcastle bantams lost out in their quest for the championship in the Little NHL tournament in Newcastle. They were eliminated by Cannington. Bowmanville placed second out of ten clubs, with five local skaters earning six medals. The winning skaters were Rob Urwiri, Raegan Pawley, Melissa Cookson, Pat Shea, Melanie Hall. y ' ^ ^ ^ ^ The Red Eagles Cowan Pontiac Jr. C's defeated Little Britain in overtime, 4-3, to take the semi-finals 4-1. The league final will begin in Lindsay. Geranium Homes Defeats Hutton 3-0 The BRHL Geranium Homes atoms atoms showed some great passing and teamwork on Saturday, February 20, when they defeated Hutton Transport 3-0. fn, the first period, Jonathan Black netted a nice goal, with an assist by left winger David Ritchie. No goals were scored during the second period. In the third period, Mike Cyr connected connected with an unassisted goal. Then, with four minutes left in the game, left winger Colin Maude put the puck in the net from a nice pass by defence- man Mike Harper. Congratulations to goalie Robbie Weir for a shutout.
