Ben Andreas Class 85 On Friday February 12th the students students at B.S.P. will be gathering at the Bowmanville Complex for an afternoon afternoon of fun. Our Winter Carnival - will be a great Spirit Day. As every one is dressed in red and white the ice looks aglow. We begin the afternoon with the excitement of the team snake races. Only by seeing can you describe describe them. We have a contest to see which group is the most creative when dressing the King and Queen in suitable suitable attire. There are prizes to be won. Alissa Coe 85 School Board Budget Talks Start Feb. 3rd Budget dates have been set for The Northumberland and Newcastle Board of Education. Trustees will hold their first budget meeting Feb. 3, 1993 at 7:30 p.m. at the Board Office. Other budget meeting dates arc as follows: • February 17. At this meeting trustees trustees will review operating expenses for administration, cafeteria services, educational and psychological services services and the learning resource centre. • February 24. Trustees examine budgets for plant maintenance and operations, operations, transportation and planning, tuition fees, capital and long term debt charges. • March 10 and 24. Trustees review review budgets for school instmetion, .school services, special services and . continuing education. "The agenda for the April meetings will be developed as the budget process process unfolds," says' Ron Sudds, Superintendent Superintendent of Business. Students at Enniskillen Public School celebrated Ground Hog Day in a most unusual way this year. : The students and teachers received a portable workbench from Ted Goodwin, a teacher at Brookside High School. The bench was built by four students at Brookside High School, using birch veneer plywood, plywood, maple trim and other types of wood. The unit will be used in Design and Technology programs, setup by teacher Debbie Reynolds and Principal Linda Gardner.
