As part of this unit they are going to visit Bowmanville Bowmanville Museum on Tuesday Tuesday morning to listen to a pianist pianist play the Dominion piano. Mr. Ralfe is teaching them how to use different programs on the computer, by Mike Jackson and Leslie Novak. What is Mrs. Gahagan's grade five class doing in April? They are learning about plants. They are growing growing different plants and feeding them liquids such as tea and pop and observing what happens. They are also learning the different parts of plants, trees and flowers. The class is doing many activities activities and experiments in this unit. They are even writing stories with a plant theme in process 'writing. The students are going swimming for six weeks at the fitness centre. They started their lessons right after March Break., , • The class is preparing for open house on May 3. Saturday, April 28th - The Enfield U.C.W. are' holding a Yard and Bake Sale from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Donations of baking and items for sale can be brought to the Enfield church Friday evening or Saturday morning. The community community is encouraged to come and sell their own goods also. Refreshments will be available. The Pathfinders of our church organized a Pot Luck Dinner on Tuesday, April 3rd for some of the seniors. The girls prepared a delicious delicious meal for the group. The girls entertained us with skits and the playing of different musical instruments. instruments. Bonnie Cowle and Jean Lepine provided us with music, music, Jean was at the piano and Bonnie led us in a sing song. Lois Alloway, Carol 'ay, Christie and Jane Shaw are doing an excellent job of being being the girls leaders. The First Enniskillen Guides had an evening of bowling in Bowmanville. High Girl was Lani Prive tt. They had a tour of Square Boy Pizza. The girls all helped make their own pizzas pizzas and came back to Enniskillen Enniskillen to eat them. On Saturday, 12 of the Enfield ladies served lunch at the sale for Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Smith. There was a really good turnout. He did a superb job being under severe back problems. Mrs. Ken (Kathy) Coverly was our guest speaker. Kathy told us some of her experiences in the drama field and productions over the last 20 years. Kathy Kathy was a Enniskillen girl and she is the daughter of Mrs. Jessie Slemon. It was a pleasure for the Enniskillen people to see Kathy again, we were glad that Kathy's Mom was able to attend the dinner. We are sorry to learn that Mr. Snowden is now a patient in Hamilton Hospital. We wish him a speedy recovery.
