Mom's Morning is the name of a community group which meets every Thursday in the Newcastle United Church between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Last week, the group was pleased to receive a $100 cheque from the Great Pine Ridge Kinettes for the purchase of toys for the play group. In this photo, Corinne Allin, President of Mom's Morning, accepts the donation from Janet Oegema, President of the Kinettes. Some of the younger participants in the group are also repr resented. The Mom's Morning program consists-, of speakers, crafts, and other special events for the Moms, while children enjoy stories, playtime anp snacks under the supervision of volunteers. 8 Happenings in Elizabeth ville by Mrs. Thickson Intended for last week It's not much like spring with these cold days, but the students are looking forward to the March break next week. Mrs. Beryl Dekoker with her gifted classes competed in the annual Delathon which was held at her school O'Neil Oshawa. Her school was second in April. The National National delathon will be at Oshawa at O'Neill. She was quite proud of her students. The seniors met as usual with six tables and a U.N.O. group. On Friday, the World's Day of Prayer was held at Canton. This annual program program was prepared by the ladies of Czechoslovakia for this year. Mrs. K. Trew, Mrs. J Smith, Mrs. Hazel Bristowe, Mrs. D. Bell, Mrs. V. Gann and Mary Gardiner attended from here.
