President President Shirley Stainton opened the meeting with a welcome to everyone, a prayer and a poem. The program program was turned over to the committee in charge - Annie Margaret lollowed with a reading by Annie "Not by Chance nor Happenstance." We sang Hymn 388 with Annie Annie at the Keyboard. Using verses from Hebrews, Hebrews, devotion was prepared prepared by Margaret the theme "A little encouragement encouragement goes a long way." It's a sad sad fact that we are more likely to criticize than give praise or credit. Offering Offering was. received and dedicated dedicated with a prayer. Annie, Margaret and Ella Bowman acted out a humerous skit "It pays to have patience." Annie then introduced our guests Marguerite Wright, Norma Ormiston and . Eileen Wright. The many roles the women can play in several offices of the church. This wasn't always so, it was veiy difficult for a woman to be accepted as minister. But, starting with the "Ladies "Ladies Aid" and Women's Missionary Missionary Society, we have reached and served in all offices offices and some pulpits. Our group is now called United Church Women. Marguerite and Norma now sang for us "Life's Railway to Heaven." We all appreciate the talents talents of these three ladies. The program closed with our theme prayer.
