Ebenezer UCW Holds Meeting In September Eleven ladies gathered at the home of Joan Coverly on Tuesday, September 11 for our pot luck dinner meeting. Charlotte Hughes presented presented a very meaningful devotional using the theme 'Time'. We were reminded that God wants us to use our time wisely during our brief time on earth. Prayer followed asking God's guidance guidance as we contemplated the best use of our time. The scripture reading was from Ecclesiastes---'For everything everything there is a season, a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born--' We sang the hymn Take Time to be Holy, aided by the piano music Charlotte had taped. With verses from Psalms and Job, we consid- èred the use of each brand new 24 hours. The T from the theme word TIME stands for i£h dav. realizing that tomorrpw may never be ours.T stands for inventory. Every day needs an inventory as we sift the chaff from the wheat in order to be effective as part of God's plan. 'M' stands for minutes. Every little scrap of time is so important important as we use them for God's work, wasting n2 time. 'E' is for eternity. Our time here on earth is the preparation ground from which we step into eternity. We hope our love overflows in our daily association with others. Charlotte sang 'One day at a time' very beautifully with the accompaniment of her guitar and taped piano background. We joined in the chorus which helped us appreciate that haunting melody with the words that spoke directly to each of us. Charlotte closed her worship worship with prayer.
