Luckily enough, I and Kimberley Kimberley Perry were the only ones picked to act in her skit based upon the novel by E. B. White. The play showed parts from the book, such as the fair and Kathy played the parts of Charlotte the spider, Wilbur the pig, Uncle Uncle Zuckerman, Templeton the rat, the goose and Fern, the little girl. Kathy lives in Toronto ai\d did-other skits and plays like Alice in Wonderland Wonderland for schools all over Southern Ontario. Everybody Everybody loved the play, she was a web spinner, I mean a real winner! Visitor at Waverley by Heather Youngman On Monday, April 17, 1989 we had a visitor at Waverley. Waverley. Her name is Sonia Dunn and she is an Author. She came and talked to all of the junior classes about her job and what it is like to be an author. Mrs. Dunn loves to do children's chants and poems. She used to be a teacher for about 25 years but then, about ten years ago she decided that she wanted to be an author. Her first poem was a Hallowe'en poem that was published in the "Owl" magazine. She wanted to be an author because because she likes words and beats and seemed to have a talent for this. So far she has one children's book, one' •adult book called "Butterscotch "Butterscotch Dreams" and many other poems, chants and songs that have been published published in other books. She said that she doesn't neces-' sarily get the same amount of money for each of her poems that get published, because she might get $4,000.00 or she might only get $150.00. We all enjoyed her presentation and wish her good luck on her future writing! A Trip to Mother's Pizza by Amy Ramage Recently, Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. tenWesteneind's Junior Kindergarten class went to Mother's Pizza Place in Oshawa for the morning. When they got there the baker took two classes around for a tour of the place. About eleven parents! went on the trip as well. The baker showed them how they made pizza and the kids loved it when he threw the dough up in the air and caught it. The fridge is like a big room. Before they left the baker served them a pizza. pizza. They have also been making pizzas and pizza collage collage pictures. Mrs. Robinson is going to make a thank- you note and the kids are going going to sign their names. Boy, kindergarten sure has changed since I was there!!!
