Three speakers entertained and enlightened us upon three widely divergent topics. Toastmaster Helen Bryden asked us to assume the role of government clerks while she conducted a seminar. Toastmaster Gerald Brown spoke about fifty years of farm management, and Toastmaster Nellie Vanveld- huizen with the intriguing speech title "My we all Soar like Eagles", recalled her experiences experiences in France. She emerged the winner of the Best Speaker trophy. Toastmaster Toastmaster Randy MacGillivray won the Best Evaluator award and Toastmaster Joan Winter received the Spark Plug trophy for enlivening enlivening the business session. A reminder of the Canada Canada Day Contest to be held in Bowmanville February 21. The contest is open to ALL, not just Toastmasters.
